E-CAPS Number 8
August 28, 2001
Greetings,
It has been a long time since my last E-CAPS update. My apologies. It has
been a very busy summer.
I have completed by training to become a ROMA Trainer (along with Sonya Van
Norden of CTE) and we provided our first training to CT community action staff
at the Annual Conference in Moodus.
Speaking of Moodus, thanks go out to everyone for making it a great event. We
hope that you found
the workshops informative and inspiring. Clarence Carter, the new Director of
Office of Community
Services, provided very timely and telling remarks about the importance of the
community action
movement being able to tell the story of community action better and showing the
results we achieve
everyday. This is what Results-Oriented Management and Accountability is all
about.
There is quite a bit of information that has come across my desk that I would
like to forward to you.
In this issue of E-CAPS, I will focus on the many upcoming events that are going
on in our network and with other organizations. The next issue, which will come
out in a few days, will provide new
research and policy information and analysis.
ITEM OF SPECIAL INTEREST
