Community Action Day 2017


Agencies Fight for Antipoverty Program Funding at Community Action Day Tomorrow

Over 200 Community Action Agency (CAA) board, staff and customers will be at the Legislative Office Building (LOB) on Thursday, March 23rd, to show the devastating impact Governor Malloy's 20% reduction in Human Services Infrastructure (HSI)-Community Action Program (CAP) funding and President Trump's proposed elimination of Community Services Block Grant (CSBG), Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP), and Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP) funding will have on critical programs and services that help low-income individuals, children, and families across the state.
