Annually, NCAF hosts a symposium so that Community Action can hear from lawmakers, have important policy discussions and brief members of Congress on the state of their communities. Please join your Community Action colleagues for this important nexus in March!
A special note on programming and schedule:
With the looming 2020 elections and the chaos caused by impeachment, the congressional schedule is very much in flux. As of right now, Congress is not scheduled to be in session the week of our conference. Although the schedule may change, we will still have robust congressional participation in our conference.
This is an opportunity to hear from the professionals that run Congress and make the frontline decisions affecting us. Moreover, if the schedule remains, congressional staff will still be in Washington, DC, ready to take constituent meetings. (Meetings may even be more productive with a less busy congressional schedule!)
